That girl in black.... and other fashion colors

You've heard about her. Most likely you've even seen her. I hear she gets around.

Catching up

If I posted on a more consistent basis, I would have been able to title this "closing tabs". However, I don't, therefore, I shan't.

Instead, you get random thoughts:

I really shouldn't watch inspirational political speeches during PMS week. Apparently I didn't get home in time to see Kathleen baby's speech. It will be interesting to see how Hillary's speech is analyzed.

The loving boyfriend bought us a new computer over the weekend. I don't remember the specifics, but it has a humungous harddrive, and can crunch video like Samuel Jackson. All I know is that I have to learn Windows Vista, and resave all my favorite websites. Now Junior will be able to save all the anime youtube videos he wants, without making boyfriend scroll forever to get to his websites.

Speaking of which... one of the goblin kids made a youtube video that made me smile. Not only did he do a clever job, it included Conner MacLeod. Of the clan MacLeod, born in the year 1518 in the village of Glenfinnan on the shores of Loch Shiel. And I cannot die.

We moved Angela of shoe girl fame to an apartment in the city Sunday. It makes me sad that all my girls are leaving. Now it is just me and the godmother to run errands. Which does suck, since she refuses to go to Mezcal for margaritas, due to the poor service and mediocre food.

Our office moves to new digs this weekend. I'll be happy when all our crates are delivered, and I can stop feeling like a nomad. It would also me nice to actually get confirmation all the archive files I sent for imaging have actually been DONE, and I can save the electronic files on my personal drive.

Recently preordered Neil Gaiman's "The Graveyard Book". Glee!

I really need to look at quitting the shoe job, or severely paring down my hours. (Beyond all the housework to do) I have yet to print any family photos from 2007, much less the Portland trip with Angela. Then there is the fact 2008 is almost 3/4 over. I printed off Vegas pics in February, and have let to work with them. All the supplies are here to do 2007, Portland, Vegas, and 2008... just not the time. Then there is Junior's junior high book... oy. I'm giving myself palpitations!

Sioux Falls with the inlaws in October... I rather am looking forward to that trip. It will be nice simply to enjoy the ride and time to catch up. Maybe by then I'll have last year's photos to show off!

Terminal

Our home computer monitor is starting to die. You can sense there are problems. The last couple of nights, I've come home, sat down to read the news, and thought... "hmm, that display looks dark."

Even after degaussing, it goes dark again quickly. Even while typing this, the brightness cycles. Wax and wane, "wax on, wane off."

So now we must decide. And I am no good with the electronics.

PS: Michael Phelps reminds me a pterodatcyl. A fiercely strong pterodatcyl... but still!
